Beautiful Crochet Lace Stitch for a Baby Blanket, Free Pattern and Video Tutorial

Here is a beautiful lacy stitch for a baby blanket or a scarf!

The skill level is intermediate. I'd say this stitch is a bit complicated, but I filmed a detailed video tutorial!

Multiple of 8, plus 3

Row 1: (dc, ch 2, dc2-clustser) all in 3th ch from hook, skip next 3 ch, sc in next ch, *skip next 3 ch, (dc2-cluster, ch 2, dc2-cluster, ch 2, dc2-cluster) all in next ch, skip next 3 ch, sc in next ch* across to last 4 ch, skip next 3 ch, (dc2-cluster, ch 2, dc2-cluster) all in last ch.

Row 2: ch 1, turn, sc in top of 1st cluster, ch 3, dc in next sc (make dc right in the middle of sc, because if you simply make it in the top two loops, the stitches on the right side of your work will be shifted; see my video tutorial for visual help), *ch 3, sc in top of 2nd (middle) cluster of next group of clusters, ch 3, dc in next sc* across, end with ch 3, sc in top of last cluster.

Row 3: ch 1, turn, sc in 1st sc, *(dc2-cluster, ch 2, dc2-cluster, ch 2, dc2-cluster) all in next dc, sc in next sc* across.

Row 4: ch 6, turn, sc in top of 2nd (middle) cluster of next group of clusters, ch 3, dc in next sc, *ch 3, sc in top of 2nd (middle) cluster of next group of clusters, ch 3, dc in next sc* across.

Row 5: ch 2, turn, (dc, ch 2, dc2-cluster) all in same 1st dc, sc in next sc, *(dc2-cluster, ch 2, dc2-cluster, ch 2-, dc2-cluster) all in next dc, sc in next sc* across, end with (dc2-cluster, ch 2, dc2-cluster) all in 3rd (counting from bottom) ch of turning ch-6.

Repeat Rows 2-5 for the pattern.

Crochet Rose Granny Square Afghan, Baby Blanket, My Free Pattern and Video Tutorial

This is the first ever granny square afghan that I made!

I first made a bunch of crochet roses, which I used for squares!

Then I connected all the squares together using the slip stitch method. I made a simple border of single crochets in two colors - green and pink.

The written pattern is available on my website

And I also made video tutorials.

I hope my pattern and videos will be useful!

Happy crocheting!

White Hooded Baby Blanket, My New Crochet Pattern

A new baby blanket is ready!

A hooded baby blanket was on my to-do list for a long time as I've been getting a lot of requests for such pattern! And finally here it is!

The size is about 33 by 33 inches, but it can be easily made smaller or bigger. I included the instructions on how to make a different size in the pattern.

I used I used Craft Smart Never Enough Yarn, about 1400 yards (that's 2 skeins 716 yards each) and a hook size H/8 (5 mm).

And the blanket shown below was made by one of my wonderful testers Debbie.

She used Size H crochet hook and Stitch Studio by Nicole Pound of Stitches yarn (#4 Medium Weight) in the color Creamy Vanilla (amount used: 1 pound + a small amount of second skein).

Thank you Debbie, your work is beautiful!

Buttercups Lace Baby Blanket Crochet Pattern

It's almost spring here in Northern California, and wild Bermuda Buttercups are blooming in my back yard again!

I was inspired by these bright, cheerful flowers to make a baby blanket, which I named Buttercups Baby Blanket!

The blanket measures about 38 by 31 inches, but it can be adjusted to any custom size.

About 1200 yards of light worsted acrylic yarn and a hook size G/6 (4.25 mm) will be needed to make this blanket.

The skill level is beginner, and the pattern is written in English, using the US crochet terminology.

I also included a detailed photo tutorial.

The pattern is available in my Etsy and Ravelry shops. It is 50% off for the next couple of days.

Lilacs in Bloom Baby Afghan, Baby Lace Blanket, New Crochet Pattern

I can't believe May is almost over! Where did it go?

I had one post in the beginning of the month, and now I have another one at the end!

A few several years ago, there actually was time when I was blogging twice a week. But back then, I was simply crocheting and sharing my projects. Now I design and write my own patterns, which takes way more time and energy. But no, I'm not complaining! Not at all!

I have a new baby blanket design! I named it Lilacs in Bloom!

A simple lace pattern that works pretty quickly.

Pink Marshmallows Baby Hat to Match the Blanket

Thank you for your kind comments on my latest baby blanket pattern.

I now have a pattern for a matching hat.

Unlike most of the baby hats I've created before, this one is worked from bottom up.

The pattern comes in one size 0-3 months, and the finished hat measures about 12 inches in circumference and 5 inches in height.

I used a hook size G/6 (4.25 mm) and the same yarn as for the blanket - Snuggly Wuggly Big by Loops & Threads. In fact one skein was enough to make the blanket and the hat.

The pattern is available in my shops: Etsy, Craftsy, and Ravelry

Pink Marshmallows Baby Blanket, Crochet Afghan Pattern

I'm so excited to announce I have a new baby blanket pattern!

I named it Pink Marshmallows. The lace and puffs design gives it a very delicate and soft texture.

I am now working on a matching baby hat pattern.

The blanket looks different on the front and back sides, but both are very pretty!

This year we've been blessed with April showers. My garden looks so green and lush right now.

I took some pictures of my new baby blanket in my front yard.

It's amazing how different the color looks in the photos taken outdoors.

Spring Stripes Afghan Blanket, Impeccable Yarn by Loops & Threads

When I saw this Impeccable yarn by Loops & Threads at Michael's several weeks ago, I was so drawn to its bright colors! I instantly had an idea to crochet myself a bright spring vest. But even though the colors would be perfect, the yarn itself is too heavy for a vest or sweater.

But it's perfect for an afghan!

I worked with a hook size H/8 (5 mm) and my afghan was growing in size quickly. I completed it in less than a week.

The blanket I made is of a small size (about 31 by 27 inches), and at the moment I don't have anyone in mind who I can gift it to. So for now I'll just keep it in my bedroom hanging on a chair as a decor item. It's so pretty and cheerful; it deserves to stay on display!

The pattern (which can be easily adjusted to any size) is available in my shops: Etsy, Craftsy, and Ravelry

Lace Cupcakes Baby Blanket With Ruffled Trim

I took a break from making doilies and made a baby blanket.

A soft, airy, lacy baby blanket!

It was easy and quick to make!

I like repetitive stitches because you can easily do something else as well, like listening to an audiobook or watching TV.

I recently discovered on Netflix a British TV show called Escape to the Country. It's about city dwellers that want to relocate to a quieter life, house hunting in the beautiful UK country side.

I'm totally hooked on it right now. It's just so beautiful to watch. So relaxing. So peaceful.

The country views are simply breathtaking! The country houses are charming! The gardens are spectacular!

It is so enjoyable to watch...  And to crochet along!

I used Snuggly Wuggly Big by Loops & Threads yarn, and a size G/6 (4.25 mm) hook.

The finished blanket is about 38 by 31 inches. It can be easily adjusted to other sizes, smaller or bigger.

The skill level is beginner and only basic stitches are used here.

The pattern is available in my shops: Etsy, Craftsy, and Ravelry

Puff Triangles Afghan, Lapgan, Baby Blanket, New Crochet Pattern

I haven't crocheted much recently as so many things are happening in my life right now (some good, some bad, and some just scary).

Then one day I felt a crochet itch. I felt crocheting and doing nothing else.

So I crocheted! I made this blanket in two days only!

I worked with size H/8 (5 mm) hook and Soft Baby Steps yarn by Red Heart. One would think that because of all those puffs, the texture would be dense. But no, the blanket came out soft and airy.

The pattern can easily be adjusted to any size and made in one, two, or more colors!

My new pattern is available on Etsy, Craftsy, and Ravelry. Please, like/favor to help me promote it. Thank you!
