Pink Marshmallows Baby Hat to Match the Blanket

Thank you for your kind comments on my latest baby blanket pattern.

I now have a pattern for a matching hat.

Unlike most of the baby hats I've created before, this one is worked from bottom up.

The pattern comes in one size 0-3 months, and the finished hat measures about 12 inches in circumference and 5 inches in height.

I used a hook size G/6 (4.25 mm) and the same yarn as for the blanket - Snuggly Wuggly Big by Loops & Threads. In fact one skein was enough to make the blanket and the hat.

The pattern is available in my shops: Etsy, Craftsy, and Ravelry

Pink Marshmallows Baby Blanket, Crochet Afghan Pattern

I'm so excited to announce I have a new baby blanket pattern!

I named it Pink Marshmallows. The lace and puffs design gives it a very delicate and soft texture.

I am now working on a matching baby hat pattern.

The blanket looks different on the front and back sides, but both are very pretty!

This year we've been blessed with April showers. My garden looks so green and lush right now.

I took some pictures of my new baby blanket in my front yard.

It's amazing how different the color looks in the photos taken outdoors.

Valentina Doily, New Crochet Pattern

Growing up back in Ukraine, when I was 15-16 years old, I took machine embroidery classes, making this beautiful cutwork embroidery called Richelieu.

Unfortunately, I no longer have that skill, but I had an idea to make a crochet doily with a similar look/feel to it.

I absolutely love the way my doily turned out!

Coming up with a unique and suitable name for my doilies is always a big challenge. After some thinking, I decided to start naming my doilies after my friends!

So this one is Valentina!

The finished doily measures about 17 inches across. I used the steel hook size 1.5 mm and Aunt Lydia's classic cotton thread size 10 (about 320 yards).

Only basic stitches are used in this pattern: chain, slip stitch, single crochet, double crochet, and treble crochet.

The pattern is available in my Etsy, Craftsy and Ravelry shops.

Shells Baby Dress Crochet Pattern, More Sizes

The Shells Baby Dress in one of the most popular patterns in my pattern shop.

I created it back in 2014, but I've been getting requests to adjust it for more sizes. I finally did it!

The pattern now comes in threes sizes:

0-3 months, about 15 inches around chest, 11 inches long;

3-6 months, about 16 inches around chest, 12.5 inches long;

6-12 months, about 18 inches around chest, 14 inches long.

The pattern is available in my Etsy, Craftsy, and Ravelry shops.

Textured Slouchy Hat Crochet Pattern

Here is another hat that I recently made for myself. Its textured design looks complicated and intricate, and even lacy (just the way I like it!)

The pattern comes in one size - adult. But it will be suitable for a teen girl too. The hat is soft and stretchy. The finished measurements are about 18 inches in circumference (plus stretch) and 11.5 inches in height.

I used light worsted weight (category 3, DK) yarn and a hook size G/6 (4.25 mm). The specific yarn that I used is Snuggly Wuggly by Loops & Threads, 100% acrylic. Other light worsted or even worsted weight yarns can be used too, but pay attention to the gauge.

The skill level is intermediate; in addition to the basic stitch, front post double crochets are used in this pattern. The hat is made from top down.

The pattern is amiable in my shops on Etsy, Craftsy, and Ravelry
