Lacy Ripple Mohair and Silk Scarf, Light and Airy, Crochet Pattern and Free Video Tutorial

Mohair and silk blend yarns are definitely luxurious ones! The finished crochet items made with mohair and silk have amazing texture - soft and fluffy, airy and light!

However, crocheting with such yarn definitely requires some skill!

First, usually such yarns are thin (category 1) and delicate, and not every crocheter is comfortable working with thin yarns.

Second, because of their fluffy texture mohair yarns are extremely difficult to unravel. For that reason, one needs to be very careful not to make mistakes in their crochet piece.

A friend and fellow crocheter sent me a few balls of Drops Kid Silk yarn, which is 75% super kid mohair, and 25% silk. The apple green color is just gorgeous, and I instantly knew I wanted to make a scarf with it.

Keeping in mind the challenges of working with mohair, I chose a simple pattern with only one repeating row.

The result was absolutely stunning!

Finished Measurements: about 66 inches long, 17 inches wide

Two skeins of Drops, 75% Super Kid Mohair, 25% Silk.

Some of you who have been following my crochet blog for many years know that I was born and grew up in Ukraine, but I've lived most of my adult life in the United States.

I have a lot of extended family in Ukraine, who are greatly effected by the war. If you choose to purchase this pattern, please know that your money will go to support my family in Ukraine. Thank you! 🙏🏻🇺🇦
