The pattern (written instructions) for these angels is by Mary Thomas (you can see it here). I tried to follow it precisely, but since I’m not very good with written patterns (I prefer symbol charts), my angles turned out a bit different than the one in the pattern. Yet, I think they are quite lovely.
I used crochet thread number ten, and the angels came out five inches tall.
Now I contemplate what to do with them. Should I turn them into Christmas tree ornaments? Or maybe use them for Christmas package decorating? Or should I just leave them on the coffee table as winter décor?

Your angels are lovely. Happy Thanksgiving. Heather
ReplyDeleteHi Olga, I didn't know you had a new blog. Your angels are lovely! Have a Great Thanksgiving weekend. Warm Hugs,
ReplyDeleteHello. I think your angels turned out great!!! I like yours better!! I have the pattern that you followed and I hope mine turn out like yours. I am using mine to decorate my windows with this Christmas. I have some sparkly white 10 thread that I am going to use. I may spray a little glue on them and then sprinkle with more glitter. I will also use some for package ornaments and tree ornaments. These are great to stuff in a Christmas card as an ornament for your loved ones trees. I have a friend that I have been sending a different ornament every year for I have to guess 20 some years and she and her family look forward every year to a new ornament. She writes me how much her whole family enjoys the ornaments. Anyway, I just thought I would give you some of my ideas to use this lovely ornament. Happy Holidays!!! Jeanine
ReplyDeleteThank you all for your kind comments!
ReplyDeleteJeanine, you gave me some great ideas. I think I will start a tradition of sending one crochet ornament each year to my friends too. Thanks!
