Crochet Baby Set. Baby Booties Crochet Pattern and Video Tutorial

At the end of the last year, I had a big crochet commission, and this baby set was a part of it. 

I crocheted a baby blanket, a baby cardigan, a baby hat, and a pair of baby booties. 

Everything turned out lovely! 

The blanket and the hat are something I designed a while back, and the patterns have been in my shops for a while (plus video tutorials on my Youtube channel). 

But the cardigan and booties were new creations. 

I now have the written pattern and the video tutorial for these baby booties. I still need to work on the pattern for the baby cardigan and film a tutorial for it.

Red Lace Mercerized Cotton Scarf, New Crochet Pattern

 What I like about 100% mercerized cotton yarn is the definition of the stitches on the finished project. 

Mercerized cotton isn't as soft as non-mercerized cotton, and therefore the crochet stitches come out neat and uniform. There isn't much stretch to a crochet project made with mercerized cotton. 

I just love how the stitches are straight and even on my latest project - a crochet lace scarf, which I crocheted along the length. 

The yarn that I used is category 2 or DK, and I worked with a hook size E (3.5 mm). 

The specific yarn that I chose is YarnArt Begonia. You can check it out on Amazon. 

For my scarf, I used four skeins in red color. The finished measurements of my scarf are about 56 inches long and 12 inches wide (after blocking).  

This was not the first time I worked with this yarn. I have used it for many crochet projects before, and I absolutely love it! 

If you love spring and summer crochet scarves the way I do, you must try this yarn and this pattern. I can assure you it's not as complicated as it looks. Only basic stitches are used in the pattern, such as chains, single crochets, and double crochet. 

You can also use this lacy stitch for a variety of other crochet projects, such as table runners, tablecloths, or summer tops/blouses. I included the multiple for the stitch in the pattern, so you won't have to do any calculations to figure it out.
