I came across the pattern for this lovely pineapple
doily and couldn’t resist making it (update: unfortunately, the pattern is not longer available). Besides, I was
getting bored with my flower cushion project and I thought I need to crochet
something different for a change.
The pattern is very easy, and the doily is quick to
make. It took me one evening to make it. In the original pattern, the doily is
made in yellow, but I made mine in white.
The roses in the pictures are from my yard. How nice
to clip off a few and make a bouquet. Fresh flowers always cheer me up! And
that is exactly what I need right now because I have caught a bit of cold. I hope
to recover over the next couple of days.
Have a wonderful weekend and don’t get sick!
This is so lovely Olga. I love the pineapple stitch. I have never worked with cotton thread. xo

Nice doily!!:) I too love switching to doilies or something small very often while working on big projects to break the monotony. But that break usually lasts for a long time :)
ReplyDeleteОльга, красивая салфетка и как быстро Вы ее связали! Цветы прелестны, а у нас еще только-только травка начинает зеленеть и цветут подснежники :). Желаю здоровья и удачного рукоделия!
ReplyDeleteLove the doily. My pineapple doily is just round. I will have to try this one.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the pattern link. I will try this in shaded yellow. Lovely roses. The hard work you put into your garden is certainly evident. Love.
ReplyDeleteThe doily is so beautiful, maybe you can make it in an evening but I sure can't. Hope you are feeling better soon, rest up this weekend,
ReplyDeleteMeredith

The pineapple doily is beautiful! I would love to find the time to make one but I have so much on my plate right now. Perhaps a little later :)
ReplyDeleteJust getting your post on Google reader. I never understand why for days it will say I have read all new posts and then it will fill with posts from days ago!
thanks for the tutorial
ReplyDeleteIt is so beautiful!!! I have been looking high & low for a large oval pineapple tablecloth pattern. They are nearly impossible to find. Do you have any suggestions? Thank you!
ReplyDeleteWhen I click the link to get the pattern, it is blank. Any way to get it? This is just beautiful!
ReplyDeleteHi, yes, looks like they removed the pattern. Unfortunately, there's nothing we can do :(
