Super Easy Crochet Stitch


Another stitch for my collection






Multiple of 5, plus 2

Row 1: sc in 2nd ch from hook, *ch 5, skip 4 ch, sc in next ch* across. Ch 3, turn.

Row 2: 5 dc in next ch-space, *ch 1, 5 dc in next ch-space* across; dc in last sc. Ch 1, turn.

Row 3: sc in same beginning space, ch 5, *sc in next ch-1 space, ch 5* across; sc in last dc. Ch 3, turn.

Repeat Row 2 – Row 3.

  2. This has worked out well for something simple to do, do you make up your stitch patterns for your collection? You have quite a collection coming along now.

    I love to crochet and I admit I am becoming quite hooked. I had some money left over from my Birthday and I have finally found something to buy with it. I am awaiting delivery of a crochet stitch book, I took a long time to choose the one I wanted .... it's being delivered next week whoop whoop!

    1. I usually try to come up with my own stitches, but sometimes I try to recreate stitches that I've seen somewhere. I saw this stitch on a scarf made by a friend. The basic idea is quite simple, and while the original stitch might be a bit different (different amount of dc and ch), the look is very similar.

  4. hi, i was looking for this stitch as i had seen it on the net somewhere. i am making a crochet baby jacket for a boy and i was not happy with the shell stitch as i felt it was to much for a boy. thanks so much. lyn south africa.
