Like many of us, I can't go out for yarn shopping, so I've been digging through my stash, trying to find something exciting to work with. I found four skeins of Brilliant yarn by Patons.
I purchased this yarn last year from a thrift store. I believe now this yarn is discontinued, which is a pity as it's beautiful and I enjoying working with it!
I made myself a pretty scarf. Nothing fancy, just one repeating row of crochet shells.
Because I only had four skeins (664 yards in total), my scarf came out only 46 inches long (13 inches wide), but I use a pearl pin to style it with, and it looks very pretty.

The pattern is very easy. We start with a chain that is a multiple of 7, plus 4.
For my scarf I started with chain 60.
Row 1: (3 dc, ch 3, 4 dc) all into 4th ch from the hook (beginning shell made), *skip 6 ch, (4 dc, ch 3, 4 dc) all in next ch (shell made)* across.
Continue working into the other side of the original chain. *(4 dc, ch 3, 4 dc) all in ch where shell was made* across. Join with sl st to top of starting ch.
From this point, continue working in rows.
Row 2: sl st to ch-3 space of 1st shell, ch 3, (3 dc, ch 3, 4 dc) all in same ch-3 space, *(4 dc, ch 3, 4 dc) all in ch-3 space of next shell* across.
Repeat Row 2 for the pattern. Fasten off.
So beautiful!
