White Ripple Baby Dress, Size 12-18 Months, Crochet Pattern

I have a few baby dress patterns in size 0-3 months and 3-6 months in my Etsy shop, and I've been getting a lot of requests for baby dress patterns for larger sizes.

Finally, here is a baby dress in size 12-18 months.

This dress is made with fine, category 2, cotton and acrylic blend yarn, and a hook size E/4 (3.5 mm). 

The cotton and acrylic blend yarn gives a light texture, that is suitable for a summer dress. 

I do believe the dress would look much prettier on a child, rather than on my mannequin.

Diamond Baby Blanket with Hearts and Shells Border

Just look at this gorgeous blanket! 

This is one of the most beautiful ones I've ever seen!

I found it on Reddit. And here is what the person who made it wrote:

"Made a blanket for my Niece-to-Be -- It's so pink!

For the body of the afghan I used the diamond pattern found here.

For the hearts I used this one.

And for the border I mocked up a shell stitch based loosely on a pattern book I have."

I'm so glad my pattern for the Diamond Stitch Baby blanket was useful. 

Lace Edging for a Handkerchief, Simple Crochet Pattern

As I cleaned my crafting supplies shelves recently, I found a few handkerchiefs. I bought a whole bunch of them a while back. I added crochet lace to some, and I posted about it before.

And now I'm going to add some lace to the remaining ones and give them away as gifts. 

I was going to add an edging from a vintage book that I have, but vintage patterns are not always easy to follow. So I just came up with my own lace edging. 

I used very thin thread, DMC size 8, and a very small, 0.75 mm steel hook. 

Round 1: sc evenly around; join with sl st.

Round 2: ch 1, sc in same space as joining, ch 3, *skip next 2 sc, sc in next sc, ch 3* around; join with sl st.

Round 3; sl st in next ch-3 space, ch 1, sc in same ch-space, *ch 5, sc in next ch-3 space, 5 dc in next ch-3 space, sc in next ch-3 space* around; join.

Round 4: sl st in next ch-5 space, ch 1, sc in same ch-5 space, {ch 1, dc in next dc} five times, ch 1, *sc in next ch-5 space, {ch 1, dc in next dc} five times, ch 1* around; join.

Round 5: sl st in next ch-1 space, ch 1, sc in same ch-1 space, *ch 3, sc in next ch-1 space* around; join.

Fasten off.

Shells and Chains Crochet Diaper Cover

The pattern for this diaper cover has a little story. 

The idea came from Christine, one of my customers. She has bought my patterns for the Shells and Chains baby blanket and baby hat. She has made both and was wondering if I could come up with a pattern for a matching diaper cover. 

I was ignited by the idea and crocheted a diaper cover the same day. It wasn't difficult. Since  I have all my notes on this stitch, I was able to adjust it for a diaper cover quite easily.

It took me one more day to actually put the pattern together. I sent the pattern to Christine as she was the one to inspire and motivate me to create it. I hope she'll like it!

I also want to mention that I am on Facebook now. To be honest, I don't like it and I don't use it for personal use (I prefer to connect with my family and friends in real life), but I think it offers an easy and convenient way to connect with my customers and blog followers.

Summer Lace Top, Cotton Fair by Premier Yarns

I recently discovered Cotton Fair yarn by Premier Yarns. It's a cotton and acrylic blend, which is soft and light, and very nice to touch. It's simply perfect for summer crochet garments. 

Two balls of this yarn (630 yards in total) were enough to make this summer lace top. I worked with size E/4 (3.5 mm) hook. The size of this top is small (US 4-6, European 36-38). 

The pattern is quite easy and only basic crochet stitches are used here. 

I love my new summer top. I think it will get a lot of wear this summer.
