Popcorns Baby Sweater and Baby Blanket Set

Those popcorns are so much fun to make!

I used Bernat Baby Sport yarn and a size E/4 (3.3 mm) hook.

The sweater is made in one piece. Crocheting starts at the bottom of the front and ends at the bottom of the back.

The front has an opening with a small button.

And the blanket is very simple to make. It can be adjusted to other sizes (mine was about 38 by 27 inches).

The patterns are available free on my new website:

White Lace Spiders Baby Blanket, Baby Afghan, Baby Christening Shawl

I can't believe I haven't updated my blog for more than a month!

Time goes by so quickly, and now that it's spring and the clock was switched to the day light savings, my children and I spend a lot of time outdoors.

But I still manage to get some crochet done, here and there.

My last complete project is this lace baby blanket, or christening shawl.

I like this stitch. It looks so delicate in white. I think it will look even better made with a finer yarn.

I used Snuggly Wuggly by Loops & Threads, and a size G (4.25 mm) hook.

The finished blanket measures about 36 by 30 inches, but it can easily be adjusted to a bigger size.

The pattern is available in my Etsy shop, and in my Craftsy shop, and on Ravelry.

Happy Spring!

Newborn Baby Crochet Sweater

It took me a while to make this newborn baby sweater. I used super fine (category 1, fingering) yarn and a small size hook, so the work was moving quite slowly.

Also caring alone two yarns (blue and white) was an added challenge. It would've been easier to make it one color, but I don't think it will be this pretty. I really like how the blue and white stripes look.

And this is my "baby" wearing his new sweater. It's a bit too big, but I'm so hopeful the "baby" will grow! *wink*

It's quite simple and quick to make.

Shells and Chains Crochet Diaper Cover

The pattern for this diaper cover has a little story.

The idea came from Christine, one of my customers. She has bought my patterns for the Shells and Chains baby blanket and baby hat. She has made both and was wondering if I could come up with a pattern for a matching diaper cover.

I was ignited by the idea and crocheted a diaper cover the same day. It wasn't difficult. Since  I have all my notes on this stitch, I was able to adjust it for a diaper cover quite easily.

It took me one more day to actually put the pattern together. I sent the pattern to Christine as she was the one to inspire and motivate me to create it. I hope she'll like it!

The pattern is also available in my Etsy and Craftsy shops.

I also want to mention that I am on Facebook now. To be honest, I don't like it and I don't use it for personal use (I prefer to connect with my family and friends in real life), but I think it offers an easy and convenient way to connect with my customers and blog followers.

Delicate Shells Newborn Crochet Dress and Hat

Fresh off my hook a new baby dress!

I made this dress to match the hat from the previous post

This is the first baby dress that I made using a super fine (category 1, aka fingering) yarn. It was Woolike by Loops & Threads.
I worked with a size E/4 (3.5 mm) hook.

The dress and hat have very soft texture; absolutely perfect for little angels. The skill level is beginner, and only basic stitches are used - single crochet, double crochet, slip stitch, and chains.

The finished size of this set is newborn.

The pattern is very detailed and easy to follow. It's available in my Etsy shop.

This is a new pattern in my shop, and to promote this listing, the price is 50% off for a limited time only. Hurry!

Irish Rose Baby Headbands

Crochet Irish roses are so beautiful and easy to make. They look lovely on so many crochet projects.
Here I used them for baby headbands.

I made three baby headbands in sizes 0-3 months, 3-6 months, and 6-12 months. The measurements of the finished items are 14, 16, and 18 inches in circumference.

I used size ten crochet thread and a steel hook 1.25 mm.

A friend of mine is expecting a baby in February. I hope it will be a girl. I would be so glad to gift her all these headbands.

The pattern is available in my Etsy and Craftsy Shops.

Crochet Baby Booties Tutorial

Good morning! First of all, I need to announce the winner of my pattern. Thank you everyone who entered the giveaway by leaving comments on my previous post. There were 31 comments in total, and each person was assigned a number from 1 to 31. Then, using a random number generator at random.org, I picked the winner.

It was number 9, which is Lalitha.  Congratulations! I will e-mail you the pdf file with the pattern right away.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This is a tutorial for the baby booties pattern that I shared back in January. I hope it will be useful!
The size is 0-6 months depending on the yarn you use. In this tutorial I used worsted weight yarn, and my booties came about 4.5 inches in foot length, which is approximately size 6 months. Use lighter yarns to achieve smaller sizes.
This tutorial is my original work, it cannot be copied or distributed in any form. If you would like to share this tutorial on your blog/site, you can use ONE picture with a link back to my original post. I put my heart and my honest work into creating designs, which I share here free. Please, respect my work.
Crochet Baby Booties, Size 0-6 Months, Free Pattern
Before my holiday break, I promised my readers a pattern for baby booties. It was fun to work on these cutties (working on baby items is always fun for me), and surprisingly I didn’t do much unraveling and the design/pattern came out quite easely.
For the buttom part of the booties, I used single and double crochets. But for the upper part I wanted something fancier, so I used shells (2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc) all in same space. The same shells were used in Angels Wings Pinafore Newborn Dress, and I also used those same shells in my Newborn Hat to Match the Dress. So now I have an entire matching gift set of a dress, a hat, and a pair of booties.
You might remember me mentioning that a friend of mine was expecting a baby, and I hoped to give her this baby set. Well, my friend safely delivered her beautiful baby BOY! That’s wonderful news, but now I need to figure out something cute and useful to crochet for him.
Please, DO NOT repost this or any other of my patterns on other websites or blogs (however, you can use ONE picture with a LINK to the pattern on my blog). Please respect the work and time I put into creating/writing my patterns. Thank you.
