Mercerized Cotton Yarns for Summer Crochet Projects, Patons Grace and Yarnart Begonia

On hot summer days it may not be very pleasant crocheting with warm wool or acrylic yarns. That's why I like cotton yarns for summer!

I recently purchased two mercerized cotton yarns from Amazon.

The first one is Patons Grace by Yarnspirations, which is a category 3, light weight yarn. I chose delicate beige color. One skein is 50 grams and has 136 yards.

I purchased it in a pack of six skeins.

The second yarn I purchased is Yarnart Begonia, which is a category 2, DK yarn. It comes in many beautiful colors, and it was hard for me to choose only one. I decided to go with warm, light brown color, #15.

This yarn also comes in skeins of 50 grams, but because it is a lighter yarn, each skein has 185 yards.

If you know of any other cotton yarns, mercerized or not, that you can recommend, please let me know in the comments below! Thank you!

Enjoy the summer!

Lacy Leaves Crochet Shawl, Triangular Scarf, Crochet Video Tutorial

I recently tried a new to me yarn - Flowers by YarnArt, and I fell in love with it!

It's a fine, category 1 yarn, 55% cotton and 45% acrylic blend yarn. It comes in a cake of 1093 yards (1000 meters), and it has beautiful, gradual color change.

I made myself a light shawl, and it turned out wonderfully! I love the texture and the drape! I will wear my shawl as a scarf wrapped around the neck! I think it will look lovely with a black outfit - long-sleeve black tee and black pants.

I worked with a hook size F (3.5 mm), and my shawl came out about 69 inches wide and 28 inches long.

This yarn comes in a variety of color combinations, and the one that I used is number 279. I highly recommend this yarn, and I will be using it myself in the future projects for sure.

How to Crochet Lace Scarf, Luxurious Knitology Yarn by Knitcrate, Get 20% Off Your First Subscription Box

Just look how luxurious my latest scarf looks!

And it feels even better!

The stitch pattern itself is quite simple, but the quality of the yarn makes a huge difference!

I used Knitology yarn by Knitcrate!

This yarn is 40% Superwash Merino, 30% Silk, and 30% Alpaca, which makes an incredibly soft, deluxe blend!

The scarf has a really nice drape which most of the time you simply can't achieve with acrylic yarns.

I am thrilled that Knitcrate gave me a chance to try their yarns!

This was the first subscription box I received from them, and I am so much looking forward to trying their other yarns!

The video tutorial for this scarf is available on my Youtube channel!

And Knitcrate gave me an opportunity to promote their yarns and earn a commission!
