Crochet Lacy Party Scarf, Caron Simply Soft Party Yarn, Crochet Tutorial and Written Pattern

A new lacy scarf fresh of my hook! I crocheted it using Caron Simply Soft Party yarn in vibrant green color (Spring Sparkle). I used a hook size H (5 mm).

The metallic strand in this yarn really ads some sparkle and glamour!

I crocheted the scarf along the length, but it also can be crocheted along the width. The lacy crochet fabric will look pretty both ways!

The free video tutorial for this scarf is available on my Youtube channel, and the written pattern is available for sale in my Etsy and Ravelry shops.

Caron Simply Soft Party yarn is available on Amazon (three skeins needed for this scarf):

Lacy Ripple Mohair and Silk Scarf, Light and Airy, Crochet Pattern and Free Video Tutorial

Mohair and silk blend yarns are definitely luxurious ones! The finished crochet items made with mohair and silk have amazing texture - soft and fluffy, airy and light!

However, crocheting with such yarn definitely requires some skill!

First, usually such yarns are thin (category 1) and delicate, and not every crocheter is comfortable working with thin yarns.

Second, because of their fluffy texture mohair yarns are extremely difficult to unravel. For that reason, one needs to be very careful not to make mistakes in their crochet piece.

A friend and fellow crocheter sent me a few balls of Drops Kid Silk yarn, which is 75% super kid mohair, and 25% silk. The apple green color is just gorgeous, and I instantly knew I wanted to make a scarf with it.

Keeping in mind the challenges of working with mohair, I chose a simple pattern with only one repeating row.

The result was absolutely stunning!

Finished Measurements: about 66 inches long, 17 inches wide

Two skeins of Drops, 75% Super Kid Mohair, 25% Silk.

Hook size H (5 mm).

Other similar yarns will work too!

I wrote a detailed pattern, and I filmed a video tutorial for those of you who are visual crocheters.

The free video tutorial is available on my Youtube channel

The written pattern is available in my Etsy and Ravelry shops.

Some of you who have been following my crochet blog for many years know that I was born and grew up in Ukraine, but I've lived most of my adult life in the United States.

I have a lot of extended family in Ukraine, who are greatly effected by the war. If you choose to purchase this pattern, please know that your money will go to support my family in Ukraine. Thank you! 🙏🏻🇺🇦

Crochet Lacy Baby Blanket, Pound of Love Yarn, Crochet Pattern and Video Tutorial

Happy New Year! It's been a while since I updated my blog!

I've been crocheting more than ever, and creating new patterns, and filming and editing tutorials!

I really want to share this lates one! It's just too cute, and not complicated at all, and made with a budget-friendly yarn!

The lacy stitch is easy and quick to work! The border is quite simple too, just a couple of rows on double crochets, and a row of beautiful pointy shells!

The finished size of the blanket made with one ball of Pound of Love by Lionbrand yarns is 43 by 33 inches. The pattern can be easily adjusted to other sizes as well (the multiple for the stitch is included in the pattern). Hook size H (5 mm).

The written pattern is available in my Etsy and Ravelry shops!

I also have a very detailed, free video tutorial on my youtube channel!
