Lacy Leaves Mohair and Silk Shawl, Crochet Pattern and Video Tutorial

Have you ever worked with mohair blend yarn? This was my first time ever! Oh boy, it is very hard!

I crocheted this shawl with super fine (category 1, lace) 70% super kid mohair and 30% silk blend, and a hook size H (5 mm). It was a real challenge!

But the final result is absolutely stunning! When I hold this shawl in my hands, it feels as if I am holding a fluffy cloud! It's so light, airy, and delicate!

Here are some mohair and silk blend yarns on Amazon (these are affiliate links, and if you make a purchase, I will get a small affiliate commission from Amazon):

Sugar Bush Yarn Drizzle Fine Weight, Icicle, 76% Super Kid Mohair, 24% Silk

The final measurements of my shawl are 60 inches long and 17 inches wide. This project took approximately 690 yards of yarn.

I created a very detailed video tutorial, which is on my YouTube channel:

And I also have the pattern in a written format available in my Etsy and Ravelry shops!

  1. Hello Olga and happy Fall. You made such a beautiful looking shawl. I love the detail that shows leaf shapes on the shawl. This will be perfect to wear for summer or fall.

  2. Beautiful shawl. It’s hard to work with this type of yarn but the outcome will be superb. The intricate designs will be shown clearly which makes the work worth in working with that yarn.
