Hi friends!
This top is built around two key elements: the lacy flower stitch (you might already know it from my previous videos — the tutorial is available here) and simple ribbing to finish the edges and add structure. The combination makes for a delicate, airy design that’s both feminine and super wearable.
Before I picked up my hook, I started by sketching out the idea — I had a vision in mind and wanted to capture it on paper first. Then I got to work bringing it to life in stitches. It was such a fun project to design and make!
If you’d like to see how it all came together, I’d love to invite you to watch the video I made for it — I walk you through the process, from my initial sketch to the finished piece. This isn’t a step-by-step tutorial, but more of a creative behind-the-scenes look at how I made this summer top.
I hope you enjoy watching it as much as I enjoyed making it. Let me know what you think — and if you’d like to see more process videos like this one!
Happy crocheting!
You made such a gorgeous summer top and it looks beautiful on you! Have fun wearing your new top this summer.
